USC vs Washington State
This has the makings of a trap game for USC. Fact is the USC offense hasn’t had a complete game yet this season. There were some big plays against Arkansas, but the offense this year is a step slower. USC fans will want to see a more efficient offense on Saturday. While WSU doesn’t have the athletes on defense to match the Trojans, the SC offense has shown that its worst enemy is often itself. Fortunately for SC, the Trojan defense has been dominating. Alex Brink has been inconsistent, and this may be the saving grace for USC if the Trojans struggle to score. Jason Hill will be a factor, and if he can make a few big plays, this game may be close. Then again, if the SC offense finds itself, it won’t be close at all.

Washington Vs Arizona
The Wildcats are coming off an impressive defensive showing against USC, and it’s clear the defense is one of the conference’s better ones. But the offense hasn’t flourished like it was supposed to, as quarterback Willie Tuitama has struggled at times. Washington has finally shown signs of life after three awful seasons. Isaiah Stanback is turning into a playmaker at quarterback, and the Huskies have been able to put points on the board. The home field may make the difference in this one. If Arizona has another solid defensive effort, it will be up to the Wildcat offense to finally show up.

Cal vs Oregon State
Cal looks to continue their tour of redemption, this time with a show in Corvallis. This is also a revenge game for the Bears, who were embarrassed at home by Oregon State last season. Cal is playing some great football right now and the Beavers are coming off the high of beating Dennis Erickson last week. Both teams are feeling good about themselves, so this one could end up being a real slobberknocker. Longshore and company have turned into the Pac-10’s best offense, but there defense still has a way to go. Cal's run defense has struggled this season and Yvenson Bernard is one of the best running backs in the conference. Expect the Beavers to lean heavily on Bernard and if they have done any scouting, they won't let Matt Moore throw the ball anywhere near Daymeion Hughes. The Bears and Beavers both rank in the top 15 in scoring this year, so this game should be a shootout. Only problem is that most of the Beaver's points came against Idaho and Eastern Washington and they got steamrolled by Boise State, while Cal has actually beaten 1-A opponents this season. So expect the Beavers to try and save some face in this game and expect the Bears to keep forcing turnovers and scoring points.
